Designing Future-Ready Destinations

The Iceland Tourism Cluster and Gagarin invite you to a dynamic session exploring the future of destination development. Titled Regenerative Place Making, this 60-minute event will take place at Gróska on May 13th and will showcase bold ideas on how we design experiences that matter—for visitors, communities, and the places themselves.

Through the lenses of design, innovation, and co-creation, three invited speakers will each share insight into how destinations can become more meaningful, adaptive, and aligned with future needs.

Key themes include:

  • Design & Place: How spatial design influences how we move, remember, and feel

  • Tech & Tools: What tools enable destinations to adapt and thrive

  • Experience & Story: How stories and collaboration co-create value and long-term connections

This event is ideal for anyone working in design, tourism, tech, sustainability, or placemaking.
